Julatten Birdlovers Cottage is located at 1744 Rex Highway, Julatten, between Mossman and Mt Molloy, in the hinterland west of the popular tourist location of Port Douglas. At an elevation of approximately 400 metres, the area enjoys a mild winter climate and escapes the summer heat and humidity experienced on the coast. Cape Tribulation wilderness area, the Atherton Tablelands, Mossman Gorge and Cooktown are all within a couple of hours drive of our cottage. Day trips to the reef depart from Port Douglas daily. The city of Cairns, with its international airport, is only 1 hour and 15 minutes from our door by car.
